Peter began making chairs in 1993 in Galloway, Southwest Scotland, and in 1999 created seven new jobs in the local rural economy of Kirkcudbright.

Peter Qualified as an Architecture graduate from Heriot-Watt University at the Edinburgh College of Art, in 1975.

Since then he has been involved in the design and production of Woven Textiles, Knitted Textiles, the High-Tec Sign Industry, Archaeological Illustration, Screen Printing, Graphic Design and Litho printing.

Peter still produces his own original designs of an ever increasing and diversifying range, and is known for the mild eccentricities and the use of colour and materials in his work. He uses best quality materials including sustainable timbers and solid brass fixings for his designs, which are already becoming modern classics.
